About The Mindset Lab

An Evidence-Informed Mindset & Life Skills Program for Ages 7–11

The Mindset Lab is a unique program designed to help children better understand their thoughts, emotions, habits and choices while building practical tools they can use in everyday life.  Through guided discussion, mindfulness practices, movement, guided visualization and mental rehearsal, children learn how to become more aware of their thinking, recognize unhelpful patterns and practise new ways of responding to challenges.

Children explore skills that support confidence, resilience, emotional awareness, positive thinking, mindfulness, focus, thoughtful decision-making and managing big emotions. Mental rehearsal is an important part of the program. Children are guided to imagine themselves approaching situations differently, making positive choices and practising how they would like to think, feel or respond before encountering those situations in real life.

Developed by Miss Sandra

The Mindset Lab was developed by Miss Sandra, drawing on her McMaster University Continuing Education studies in Fundamentals of Mindfulness and Advanced Principles and Practice of Mindfulness, together with more than 27 years of experience working with children.
The program brings together mindfulness, mindset work, guided visualization, mental rehearsal, emotional awareness and practical life skills in a way that is engaging, age-appropriate and relevant to children.

Real tools. Stronger minds. Skills for life.

Helping children become the best versions of themselves.
